Last year, and this year, I went on the phones taking donations for Children In Need. I had to take donations from half 6 in the evening till midnight. I just about lost my voice in the process.
Here are the highlights:

College.
Here's the Rasputin doll I made Nat for her birthday.
She actually drew and painted this herself.

We're still not certain what gender this sailor boy actually is. I think Natalie drew the short straw when receiving her christmas present from me.
Nat drew a face on an egg and said that the grape was kidnapping it and there was nothing that the duck could do to stop it.
Ready Steady Cook... with Sam and Mark. I almost tore all my hair out having to watch those two, but our favourite italian chef kept me from going insane.

At the bus stop there was this rude boy all on his own playing some out-of-date r 'n' b on his phone. It was just us and him. This really irritated Natalie.
Getting ready to go in and do some good deeds.
CHEESE PLATTER.
MY GOD.

My thoughts exactly.
Here are the highlights:
*Jess shouting "bladder" in an Irish accent across the call centre. If you donated and you heard this atrocity in the background, I apologise on her behalf.
*Natalie, Jess and I daring each other to say, at least once, "Thanks for helping those kiddies" at the end of a phone call. I did it on my first call but got a bit muddled up and said "Thanks for the kiddies". The lady took a long time putting the phone down.
*THE FOOD! I wish the pictures were up. There were TABLES. And a whole table of crisps. AND a cheese platter!
*I ate pork. I forgot that scotch eggs were pork on the outside and egg on the inside, not egg on the outside and pork on the inside. I spat it back out of course, much to the disgust of the call-takers around me.
*The callers kept using the special letter names, like: "sierra" for "s" and "echo" for "e", which it took a long time for us to understand (the callers got quite angry). At one point, Natalie said "so... is that... "p" for potato?". We dared each other to say "k" for "kiddies" and "b" for "bladder", but after the "thanks for the kiddies" we were too scared.
